HÀ GIANG — Tuyên Quang Provincial Police reported that the steel support structure of an underpass on the Tuyên Quang - Hà Giang Expressway in Khe Đảng Village, Tứ Quận Commune, Yên Sơn District, unexpectedly collapsed on Monday evening, resulting in the death of a worker.

The incident occurred at around 7 pm while workers were pouring concrete for the underpass. The collapse caused injuries to Tòng Văn T., a worker from Yên Hưng Commune, Sông Mã District, Sơn La Province.

The victim was rushed to Phương Bắc General Hospital, but he sadly succumbed to his injuries.

Yên Sơn District police are currently collaborating with the forensic department of Tuyên Quang Provincial Police to investigate the cause of the collapse. — VNS
